Our commitment to making AttendIQ accessible to everyone
PerkIQ Ltd, trading as AttendIQ, is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
AttendIQ is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to achieve full conformance.
The following accessibility features are implemented across the AttendIQ admin portal and marketing website:
| Feature | Description | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Skip navigation | A "Skip to main content" link allows keyboard users to bypass the navigation and jump directly to the page content. | Done |
| Colour contrast | All text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text) against their background colours. | Done |
| Focus indicators | All interactive elements display a visible focus ring when navigated to via keyboard. | Done |
| Keyboard navigation | All primary actions can be completed using keyboard only. Modals and dialogs support Escape key dismissal. | Done |
| ARIA labels | Icon-only buttons and interactive elements include descriptive ARIA labels for screen reader users. | Done |
| Semantic HTML | Pages use appropriate landmark regions (nav, main, header) and heading hierarchy. | Done |
| Error messages | Form errors are presented in plain language with suggested fixes, not raw error codes. | Done |
| Focus trapping | Modal dialogs trap focus within the dialog so keyboard users cannot interact with content behind it. | In progress |
| Screen reader testing | NVDA and VoiceOver testing of the clock-in flow and key admin workflows. | Planned |
| Automated testing | axe-core accessibility scanner integrated into our development pipeline to catch regressions. | Done |
